Amadeus and LATAM Airlines, the Latin America carrier, announced a multiyear distribution agreement that, according to the companies, “will significantly enhance the travel experience for customers across the Americas and beyond.”
Under the renewed and expanded agreement, according to the announcement, LATAM’s NDC-sourced content and traditionally sourced content (EDIFACT) will be available through the Amadeus Travel Platform for all Amadeus travel agents, providing travel sellers with more flexibility and personalized travel options. This ensures, said the announcement, that travel sellers can provide their customers with the most comprehensive and up-to-date travel options available.
Victoria Gorzio, vice president, airlines, Latin America, Amadeus, said that renewing the agreement with LATAM “is a significant achievement for Amadeus.” The collaboration, she said, “allows us to offer the most relevant travel offers to our subscribers and supports our business strategy of providing comprehensive travel solutions.”
Tomas Covarrubias, senior vice president of revenue, sales and distribution, LATAM Group, said the agreement “is a major milestone in LATAM Group’s NDC rollout, as it adds significant reach to the group’s distribution mix and expands the relationship with Amadeus beyond EDIFACT content.” LATAM, he said, “is excited to collaborate with Amadeus to bring more choice and innovation to our travel agency and corporate customers.”
