Appointments and promotions at Christopherson Business Travel, WaterWalk and Charlestowne Hotels.

Christopherson Business Travel,
 a travel management company, announced the appointment of Chad Maughan as chief innovation officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry and had previously worked for Christopherson. Mike Cameron, CEO, said that Maughan was the original architect and developer of the company’s AirPortal platform, “which became a game-changer for us as we grew from a small, Utah-based travel management company to a national company booking over $700 million in travel with clients and employees across the country.”

WaterWalk, a hospitality company, has named Jim Anhut as interim president and chief development officer to support the expansion of the brand. He brings more than 35 years of industry experience, including positions with Residence Inn (prior to its acquisition by Marriott), Choice Hotels and IHG. He led the launch of Staybridge Suites for IHG and MainStay Suites for Choice.

Charlestowne Hotels, a hospitality management company, has promoted Maxwell Spangler to vice president of technology. He has been with the company for 10 years, overseeing the strategic growth of its evolving technology stack, developing and deploying new software systems, and identifying continued opportunities for innovation.
